Ouchies

I threw out my back bending over to pick up some papers on the floor, thats not alot of fun. However I saw the opening of “The Village” and I ordered one of those 3G iPod’s that were prices insanly low last week. Hopefully Apple will ship it soon.

Whats New

Lets see, been playing Far Cry (patch 1.2 is out, btw) alittle of Riddick for the Xbox, and I pre-ordered DOOM3 which should be out in about a week. I saw 21 Grams and the Bourne Supremecy this weekend, however I am really looking forward to The Village. I finally went food shopping, so I am all restocked on yummy treats. And I have begun phase one of reorganizing my apartment.

Anchorman

Well, I fixed the computer problem I was having. Not sure if fix is the correct word since I never found the problem, but somehow its working again and nothing is damaged or lost.

Whats up with the severe lack of RPGs lately? I have only heard about one thats even remotely intresting (and isn’t an action/rpg, mmmorpg, etc.) called Dragon Age. But thats about it, I guess its going to be World of Warcraft to hold me over until a true RPG gets published.

Went out with shannon to see Anchorman last night, almost in the same vein as Old School, with no plot and the funniest moments being the one-liners. But I’d have to say that Will Ferrell was really on top of his game in this one, with alot of one-liners and a hot co-star Christina Applegate.

Netgear WGT624 Firmware Update

Somehow I missed this a few weeks ago, but Netgear released a new firmware for the popular Model WGT624 v2. The firmware is Version 4.1.11 and after upgrading the signal strength jumped from 60ish to over 70, not bad for 1 minute of your time. A few other new features also, but not really worth mentioning unless you have a Vonage VoIP phone.

Hard Drive Shredding

Finally getting around to cleaning out my 200gig storage hard drive, as I was almost at full capacity. I deleted and burned off to dvd, about 45gigs of “stuff”. All of the deleted stuff was run through a shredder program, becuase sometimes I like to be paranoid. The shredder erases the section of the harddrive over 20 times which is the way the government and military do it, so it should be good enough for me. I still have about 30gigs of stuff to burn to DVD, but I ran out of ‘em, so I must check the papers/online for a good deal on a 50 pack. Let me know if you see a deal.

Refers Gone

Thank your neighborhood script kiddy for ruining one of my personal favorite things, the refer page which listed the last 100 or so refferal coming into my site. Someone actually wrote a script that spams porn sites into that list hoping to get their crappy sites listed in google. First the Comments now this, hopefully I can bring back the comments in a bit, fully moderated unfortunatly.

I ROBOT

Was oversold, so we didn’t get to see it, atleast we had free passes, so we rented Butterfly Effect, not a great movie but entertaining for a Tues night. Anyway, went to MacWorld which was a sham, there were no floor exibits for the first day, atleast I got some free wifi and a trip to boston. I also saw my moms new house and visited the rest of the family.
