Update:
Well, I finally got a chance to sit down and really listen to the new CD and its quite a new direction for the genre. This CD isn’t so much as what you expect from a Drum n Bass CD, its really pushing the current standards and limits by mixing trance, dnb and electro breaks into a jazzy soundscape. Its not a CD you turn on and then tune out, its a complete audio experience thats best listened to from start to finish. With alot of the tracks being older songs remixed for the CD you also get a strange sense of nostalgia from the beats and sounds of some of the better tunes from the past years.

The biggest stand-out track for me is “14. Moulin Rouge [Dieselboy + Kaos + Karl K Remix]” which is just insanely hard and deep, probally one of the better remixes I have heard and for sure the anthem of the year. The only drawback to this CD is that it gets a late start, there are alot of smoother, softer, trancy tracks in the beginning that set the stage quite well, however once the momentum picks up around track 11 the CD is almost over, there just isn’t enough time on a standard CD. But without a doubt this is the DnB CD to own this year.
