Ipod Shuffle

My fiance got a new iPod Shuffle for her birthday, which was working well for the first day. I loaded it up with songs off one of our Apple computers took it into the car and it worked great. Later I attempted to load it up with songs off one of the Win XP machines and thats when the problems started. The XP machine recognized the device and iTunes filled it with songs as soon as I tried to disconnect and play the songs, the error lights came on. I reinsterted the shuffle and XP refused to recognize it. I did a restore on the shuffle, it came back and I tried again. Same problem after the restore. I decided to take it into work and try on one of the Dell’s, same problem, locks up, have to restore, even when using music purchased off of iTunes. I am going to exchange it, I hope this isn’t an issue with PC’s, however the apple support forums are leading me to think it might be.
