The new comp is breathing its first breathes of air today. Housed in a case the size of a shoe box lives a AMD 3700+ San Diego 1MB Cache, 1 Gig OCZ Platinum Rev 2 Ram, MSI Radeon X800 XL (thanks dad!), 40Gb WD 10k RPM Raptor Hard Drive all inside a Shuttle SN25P. I know, you need a minute to soak it in, go ahead I will wait….. It was the fastest build I have ever accomplised, thanks to lots of preplanning and tons of resources available online. Its running all the latest games maxed out and not even breaking a sweat. Hopefully this weekend I can run some benchmarks, start overclocking (gotta get it above 4ghz speeds) and work on getting some componets to be silent. Pics, Benchmarks and all the gooey details will be posted shortly.
I also got a pair of neat speakers (thanks shan!) called JBL Creature II’s, which look amazing! They will most likely be used in the bedroom where they can be put on display and hooked up to an iPod.
