Stupid Car

After losing the bid for my first real estate purchase I was driving home when my window on the driver side of my Acura CL 3.0 went down. Without me pushing the button. That can’t be could since it just started to drizzle. I rush home to check the forcast for the next few days and its rain, followed by some more rain. I tape a garbarge bag to the window and yank out all my cd’s and stuff and pray nobody mistakes my car for an easy pickings.

I awake the next day to frantic phones calls to car repair places since its now pouring outside and, uh, I kinda like my car without the wet seat addons. After numerous phone calls I check the AAA website for someone to help. Turns out there is a place about 1/2 from my house. Sweet.

So I talk to the guy and he tells me he can fix it this morning (as apposed to NEXT tuesday!?, like ardmore acura told me). Not wanting to wait a week and have to leave my car outside in the rain, I jump on the offer. Of course this place has no waiting area, so I walk home,….. in the rain……with no umbrella. About 3 hours later the car is fixed, having replaced the “window regulator”. Or some bullcocks. To the tune of $240! Anyway its fixed and all is well. I can now head out to look at some more condos to purchase this week. Stay tuned, its about to get intresting.
