World of Warcraft Client Beta Patch 2.0.2

Here are the lastest patch notes from the 2.02 patch, they will be updated once we get closer to the release.

General

* Shadowmoon Valley is now open and available for play.
* Tempest Keep: Arcatraz dungeon will now be open.
* The Heroic Difficulty dungeon requirements have been temporarily (for the Beta only) lowered to Neutral to encourage Heroic Mode testing.

Druids

* The talent, “Mangle” (bear) will now properly give the appropriate 25% additional damage to bleed effects.
* The tooltips for the feral druid spells, “Pounce” (Rank 3) and “Pounce” (Rank 4)now reflect the proper information.

Hunters

* “Misdirection” should now work properly when a hunter uses “Distracting Shot”.
* The hunter ability, “Feign Death” should now properly reduce threat even when their pet is on the mob’s threat list.

Mages

* The talent,”Critical Mass” will now use the appropriate crit chance.
* The spell, “Arcane Missiles” will now channel for the correct amount of time.

Paladins

* The spell, “Benediction” will now properly decrease the mana cost of “Seal of Blood”.
* The Retribution Tree talent, “Pursuit of Justice” will now properly affect the speed of flying mounts.

Priests

* The spell, “Shadow Word Death” will no longer cause damage to the caster when it is resisted.

Rogues

* Rogues will no longer aggro targeted mobs that have not been attacked when their “Stealth” cooldown expires.
* “Anesthetic Poison” is now properly available at level 68 at the rogue trainers.
* Stunning an NPC will no longer cause the message “You must be behindyour target” when rogues properly try to use abilities behind a target.
* The talent, “Dagger Specialization”, will now use the appropriate crit chance.

Shaman

* Casting the shaman spell “Rockbiter Weapon” will no longer improperly raise weapon skill.

Warlocks

* The spells, “Curse of Doom” (Rank 1) and “Curse of Doom” (Rank 2) will now properly share a cooldown.
* The spell, “Curse of Doom” will now properly scale from level 60-70.
* Fixed an issue where party and raid members were unable to take part in helping to complete the warlock spell, “Ritual of Souls”.

PvP

* NPCs will now properly despawn when their faction loses control ofthe base in Halaa.
* Arenas
*Corrected an issue that was causing some players to be unable to create an arena team.
*Corrected an issue where players were able to join more than one team in an arena bracket.
Item buffs (i.e. Soulstones) will no longer improperly persist on entering an arena match.
* Battlegrounds
* Players will now properly be re-added to the raid group when dropped from the battleground.
* Players will now be able to see map pings when done by players from other realms in the battlegrounds.
* Items that cause an invulnerability proc will no longer cause players to drop flags in CTF matches.

Bugs

* Corrected some interaction issues with many NPCs.
* Attacking neutral creatures in the Steamvault, Coilfang Resevoir, will no longer cause nearby naga to aggro.
* The “Extra Sharp Daggermaw Tooth” will now drop for players attempting to do the quest, “Cutting Your Teeth” in Blade’s Edge Mountains.
* Channeling bars will now show for the correct amount of time.

Undocumented Changes in beta patch 2.0.2 (11/30/2006):

General

- Changed the look of many items.
- Changed the name of many items.
- Changed the icon for many items.
- Lots of other random item changes. Double check your inventory.
- Set bonus’s added for Warriors Tier 4.
- Flying Mounts cannot be summoned in Shattrah (or anywhere near it)
- Spirit Healers show up on the minimap when dead.
- New WDB folder made in your directory
- Air Security in Honor Hold (NOT in Thrallmar)
- Mana Loom now exists in Shattrah
- Sporeling snacks had min range removed
- The ‘free’ Sha’tar ring now requires Exalted to equip
- Prospecting no longer gives a skillup each time its used.
- Thistle Tea and Crimson Steer(TBC quest reward) changed to restore 40 energy instead of 100.
- flying mounts cannot be summon if you aint close to a friendly city. (It sounds like a bug)
- New blacksmithing plans added. Found blue bop plans for Ragesteel Breastplate off a mob in Shadowmoon. Plate chest with 50 str, 29 crit, part of a 3 piece set. Set bonus is 20 hit rating, requires blacksmithing for the bonus. Plans require 370 BS, uses Primal Fire and some bars.

Druids

- Mangle (Bear) was fixed. Mangle (cat) was untouched.
- Pounce range is back to 5 yards (from 10 yard range).

Hunters

- You can now rez your pet again.
- Talent Change: Beast Within now reduces mana cost of spells by 20%
- Flare is now very bright

Mages

- New rank of water.
- Invis fade time down to 5 seconds.

Rogues

- Improved Backstab moved to tier 2 Assassination.
- Improved Slice and Dice moved to tier 2 Combat.
- Surprise Attacks changed to “Your finishing moves can no longer be dodged, and the damage dealt by your Backstab, Gouge, Shiv, and Sinister Strike abilities is increased by 8%”.
- Improved Sap and Elusiveness have swapped tiers.
- Improved Sap now 2 ranks, 50%/100%.
- Preparation changed to “When activated, this ability instantly refreshes the cooldown on your Evasion, Sprint, Vanish, Cold Blood, Adrenaline Rush, and Premeditation abilities.” Goodbye double Cloak of Shadows/Blind in arenas.
- Cloak of Shadows is now 1 minute cooldown instead of 2.
- Evasion ranged attack avoidance reduced from 50% to 25%.
- Blind changed to 3 minute cooldown from 5 minutes(is this new? never noticed it before).
- Wound Poison(all ranks) has been changed. Now has a 30% chance to instantly deal damage(increases with poison rank), and reduce healing effects used on target by 10% for 15 seconds. Stacks up to 5 times.
- Thistle Tea and Crimson Steer(TBC quest reward) changed to restore 40 energy instead of 100.

Credits Norex for listing most of rogue changes.

Warlocks

- Talent Change: Soul Link now at 20% and +5% damage
- Talent Change: Shadowfury now a 20 second cooldown
- Curse of Weakness now lowers attack power by 272.
- Healthstones and pets no longer cost a shard when the arena prep buff is on you. Spellstones still do however, and drain soul/shadowburn still don’t yield shards in arena.

Warriors

- Rampage has been changed so that it no longer gives double the appropriate attack power bonus, but it still requires two uses of the ability to make it stack multiple times.

Tier4 Set bonuses added for the remaining classes:

Mage

(2) Set: Gives you a 100% chance to avoid interruption caused by damage while casting Fireball or Frostbolt.
(4) Set: Reduces the cooldown on Presence of Mind by 24 sec, on Blast Wave by 4 sec. and on Ice Block by 40 sec.

Warrior

Tank Set:
2: You have a chance each time you parry to gain Blade Turning, absorbing 200 damage for 15 sec.
4: Your Revenge ability causes your next damaging ability to do 10% more damage.

Pvp/Damage Set:
2: Your Whirlwind ability costs 5 less rage.
4: You gain additional 2 rage each time one of your attacks are parried or dodged.

Priest

Healing Set:
2: Your POH spell now also causes an additional 150 healing over 9 sec.
4: Each time you cast Flash Heal, your nest Greater Heal cast within 15 sec has its casting time reduced by 0.1, stacking up to 5 times.

Dps Set:
2: Your shadowfiend now has 75 more stamina and last 3 sec longer.
4: Your mindflay and smite spells deal 5% more dmg.

Hunter

(2) Set: 5% less chance Feign Death will resist.
(4) Set: 10% less mana cost on multi.
